Greene’s Auto Parts Incorporated officially began on February 25, 1983, when then employee and now owner, Lee Greene, purchased Harry McCarty Auto Parts Inc. The name was changed soon after and we never looked back. Greene’s moved into a new 5900 square foot facility on June 4, 2004. It is conveniently located one block off the main thoroughfare with easy access from Midland Avenue or Jackson Street in down town Winder, Georgia with plenty of parking.
Greene’s has a huge inventory on hand and tries very hard to have everything needed to complete any brake job or tune up. Greene’s has access to most hard to find not in stock parts the same day with several delivers each day from multiple suppliers. If Greene’s doesn’t have it, they can usually find it quickly with direct computer links to all vendors.
One of the most important services provided by Greene’s is The Hose Head, our tubes and hoses fabrication and repair center. Greene’s likes to say, "Bend it, flare it, crimp it, or stake it, if something flows through it we can make it." Fluid hoses from 1/4" to 1-1/4", no wire, 2 wire, or 4 wire with the ability to manufacture from scratch, recover proprietary fittings and reuse, or supply new from our large inventory virtually any fitting. Metal tubes from 3/16" to 1-1/4" in steel can be bent, welded or flared for anything from brakes to air or hydraulics. Air conditioning is no problem with hundreds of new fittings on hand and the same capability to recover or reuse specialty fittings including brazing aluminum or made from scratch replacements. Power steering, fuel injection, stainless steel Teflon lined, we do it all. Custom made battery cables from 6 gauge to 4/0 are also available.
Greene’s has knowledgeable people that can help solve your problem and get you back to work quickly. We specialize in Wix filters for construction equipment, heavy duty trucks, and tractors. If we don’t have it, give us a list of your vehicles and we’ll keep it on hand for you. We have bucket teeth for your loader or Bobcat and repair parts for your big truck.
We custom mix automotive paint and have all the sandpaper, tape, and primers to complete a job.
We reprogram GM computers to solve drivability problems.
We are the local supplier for Linde brand welding gases and keep a good selection of welding rods and wire.
